NaturalFlow offers power-free, completely sustainable sewage and wastewater treatment systems for rural homes.
From primary to secondary treatment, our systems are built to suit the requirements of your site and give you years of optimal performance with very little maintenance. Installation is available nationwide, and you can count on our team to deliver quality support on time, every time.
Aptly named, the NaturalFlow System harnesses free, natural processes to treat domestic sewage and wastewater. An enclosed ecosystem that mimics the forest floor is established to treat your wastewater until it is ready to be returned safely into the soil and environment.
Simply, the NaturalFlow system harnesses and utilises what has been proven effective in composting and decomposition over thousands of years: nature.
The NaturalFlow does not draw on any resources other than nature and operates quietly with no high-tech electronics or complicated mechanics.
Using the sustainable forces of nature, NaturalFlow requires no power to treat sewage and wastewater, helping you save on power bills. And with straight forward installation and minimal maintenance requirement, the NaturalFlow system is cost-effective from day one throughout its lifespan.
Just like a natural ecosystem, the NaturalFlow system takes care of itself without requiring constant monitoring and mechanical repairs. This gives you the time to focus on more important areas in your life.
With the NaturalFlow system, the black water is separated from the grey water at its source, so there is no emulsifying of the solids with the bulk of the wastewater. Through this separation, the wastewater treatment process is greatly simplified.
To treat black water, NaturalFlow uses a purpose-designed chamber called the WORMORATOR, which separates solids from the liquid and treats them by way of vermiculture and other power-free, natural processes.
The WORMORATOR is an enclosed ecosystem that mimics the forest floor and uses natural filter media’s that do not rely on any power source. Inside the chamber, a bark medium is used to filter out the liquid and retain solids. Tigerworms break down the residual solids and convert them into water-soluble nutrients. The liquid wastewater and nutrients are further purified and treated through natural media’s until they are safe to reintroduce into the soil.
Separated from the black water, the grey water goes through a series of natural settling and filtering processes.
After treatment, the grey water is combined with the black water for final disposal into the soil and into the environment.

I was called this morning from Rangi to say the 6-monthly inspection is being done at 2pm today.
Your guy doing it has been held up, so he actually called to let me know.
This is never happens normally with tradie type people.
If your company ever needs someone to sell your systems up this end of the woods then give me an interview.
After my experience with all your people, I would be proud to sell it!
“NaturalFlow system is such a basic and easy system to look after and operate. We are very pleased with it and are glad we went with the system. The grey water has certainly been great on the gardens and the black water bed once planted looks after itself. Great!”

“Back in 2008 along with our building projects we decided to go for the NaturalFlow sewage system as it didn’t require any power, on our site. We have been very impressed with the performance of this system, with very little maintenance, it basically looks after itself.
Without hesitation I would recommend the NaturalFlow system to anyone as I have had no difficulties with product or the friendly team at Waterflow NZ Ltd.
